Workpress Aviation is a parts manufacturer for the aviation and aerospace industry. They utilize the most modern technology for production, customization, and the control of the quality of components for interiors in the aviation industry. They also design and manufacture complete production lines for machining and cutting of aerospace materials.
Workpress Aviation pays special attention to every single part, no matter the size which makes every product highly customizable and every client unique. Since they have this individual approach to their clients, they couldn’t utilize the power of a typical ERP system such as SAP, because of the variety in their products.
Workpress Aviation has grown very quickly in the last year, and they had to meet their demanding customer requirements while maintaining capacity, control of production, and flexibility. Back in the day they had a very basic system in place, from when the company had roughly 20–40 people.
Today the have over 200 people, and the amount of work and complexity have multiplied number of times over. They knew that they needed strong support from an ERP system for any further growth.
S9Y built a custom ERP to help Workpress Aviation manage their production process from quotation to delivery. The ERP is built for the web and as an iOS app for iPads.Thanks to S9Y’s ERP, Workpress Aviation has been able to maintain their growth without sacrificing quality in the production process. The ERP fits perfectly to the clients needs.
They were looking to have full traceability to identify every single part of their products and their original raw materials. They needed a ton of information to be managed on databases, with overviews on hand at every moment.
The ERP is web-based, with an iOS app but they also use iPads in production for immediate information. The system is able to control everything from the quotation process to production preparation, the production itself, quality aspects, financials, and part delivery.
It enables Workpress Aviation to get any information on parts and production. Without this ERP system they wouldn’t be able to operate further. Their production and requirements are so specific that they couldn’t really implement a standard ERP.
Part of the custom ERP is also a company-wide reporting functionalities, where the client can create reports for individual cases, such as when they need to investigate something.
